While touring what is now my home, in the West Lakes, I was blown away by not only my homes renovations but all of the development that I saw within the community. When I found out that I had to meet with the Executive Director of the West Lakes Partnership, I knew this home was special and that I would become apart of something bigger than myself, if I choose to have my family live there. I’m happy to say that I have absolutely no regrets when it comes to our decision on where we bought our first home!

The food drive I volunteered my services for was put on by the West Lakes Partnership, the very same organization that rehabilitated my home and others within my community. Their goal is to build pathways to stability, power and generational wealth alongside residents of West Lakes by generating housing stabilization, homeownership and improved neighborhood amenities.

The West Lakes Partnership is driving positive change during this pandemic with food drives, as well as providing helpful resources for those in need. I feel incredibly honored to be able to watch my community grow and to have the opportunity to document that growth as a photographer.
