When I connected with Ambar I knew we were going to create MAGIC.

She is more than a model, she’s a full on creative with tons of ideas and concepts that I was really excited to bring to life. The first concept we did was one I had thought of and it involved her climbing a ladder in the city.

My goal with these images was to evoke a sense of stillness, a moment that belonged to her and only her – her ascend to the top.

I wanted to celebrate her afrolatinx culture as well as her natural beauty. Something that screamed BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL.
